This Website is operated by Northern Designs (referred to as "the Company," "we," or "us"). This Website is not for use by any minors (defined as those who are not at least 18 years of age).

2. Custom Services & Estimates

By submitting an inquiry via our Google Form or email, you acknowledge that:

• Any price quotes provided are estimates based on the information shared. Final pricing is determined after a full consultation and physical assessment of the textiles provided.

• Lead Times: Our standard lead time is 6–8 weeks, but this is an estimate and may vary based on project complexity and current studio volume.

• Artistic Discretion: As the artist, Megan Buhr reserves the right to make technical decisions (such as interfacing methods and quilting patterns) that ensure the structural integrity of the heirloom.

3. Shipping & "Precious Cargo"

• Inbound Shipping: The customer is responsible for the cost and safe arrival of textiles sent to our Minnesota studio. We recommend using tracked and insured shipping methods.

• Outbound Shipping: Northern Designs will ship finished items with tracking. Once the package is in the possession of the carrier (USPS, UPS, or FedEx), Northern Designs is not liable for carrier delays, lost packages, or damage during transit beyond the insurance coverage provided.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

Other than content you own, under these Terms, Northern Designs and/or its licensors own all rights to the intellectual property and material contained in this Website, including but not limited to the "Northern Designs" logo, branding, and original photography of quilts and memory items. All such rights are reserved.

5. Your Content & Photography

In these Terms, “Your Content” shall mean any images or text you choose to display on this Website or send to us for project use.

• Portfolio Use: By commissioning a project, you grant Northern Designs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and publish photographs of the finished product on our Website and social media for marketing and portfolio purposes, unless you explicitly request otherwise in writing due to the sensitive nature of a memorial item.

6. No Warranties

This Website is provided “as is,” and Northern Designs makes no express or implied representations or warranties of any kind related to this Website or the materials contained on this Website. Additionally, nothing contained on this Website shall be construed as providing professional advice.
